The film offers an incomplete and perspective-oriented portrayal of the ways in which the relationship between men and horses has evolved in the historical and geographical area of the Maremma Laziale. The places depicted are all situated between the provinces of Viterbo and Rome and the protagonists of this film are pockmarks, breeders, researchers and horse aficionados of yesterday and today: a complex world full of very lively individuals.
